Earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
for Completing our Instructor-Led Courses

Students of the instructor-led courses at Search Engine Workshops™ who complete all course requirements are eligible to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from The University of Southern Mississippi (Southern Miss).

If you're interested in earning CEUs, you must (1) register for the CEUs through Southern Miss before beginning the class, and (2) pay the fee of $25 per CEU to Southern Miss. CEU applications will NOT be accepted after you have started the SEM (search engine marketing) training.

The fee for the SEM Training may be paid either to Search Engine Workshops™ or to Southern Miss, but the additional fee for the CEUs must be paid directly to Southern Miss.

Search Engine Workshops™ and The University of Southern Mississippi do not "give away" Continuing Education Units or certification. Our students earn it. Anyone earning CEUs and certification for these Search Engine Workshop classes has gone through a stringent process in order to complete the SEM Training. As a result, our graduates can proudly display a certification seal on their Web site as proof of their qualifications, and we are glad to provide recommendations for our graduate students as well.

To earn CEUs from The University of Southern Mississippi and certification from Search Engine Workshops™, the following SEM Training requirements must be met:

• All homework assignments must be completed and turned in by the final deadline of the course;
  
  
• Class participation proving knowledge learned and applied must be met;
  
  
• Students are required to review a page of source code and point out what's right and what's wrong with the page;
  
  
• A final exam must be taken and passed with at least 80% accuracy; and
  
  
• Search Engine Marketing students must participate in our Certification Project, which is outlined below.

Certification Project

In order to earn Search Engine Workshop™ certification and Southern Miss Continuing Education Units,* Search Engine Workshop™ students are required to participate in a certification project. Students are assigned a real-life page and asked to offer suggestions for boosting the page's rankings.

*Important Note: To be eligible for Continuing Education Units, you must submit the CEU application and pay the $25 per CEU fee to Southern Miss prior to beginning the course. CEU applications will NOT be accepted after you have started the course.

After paying the CEU fee to the University and then completing the SEM Training requirements, you will earn Continuing Education Units and receive your CEU transcript from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Southern Miss maintains a 20-year cumulative record of CEUs issued by The University of Southern Mississippi. Upon verification of CEUs, Southern Miss will issue a duplicate or replacement CEU transcript for a fee of $3.00 per copy.
